Simple Winter Gathering + Charcuterie Board Recipe

This post is sponsored by J. Lohr Vineyards & Wines

Last week, we styled our dining room for a Simple Winter Gathering with our closest friends. We hung some garland indoors and created a simple centerpiece by laying our DIY wreath down on a cutting board and placing some candles in the middle.

J. Lohr Wines is always our preferred wine of choice when we are hosting our friends and family. If you missed our Summer Dinner post, you can read about our choice of summer wine and also a fun Lemon-Wine Pasta recipe. For the cooler winter months, we chose to pair J. Lohr Wines Estates Seven Oaks Cabernet Sauvignon alongside a fig-inspired Charcuterie Board (see below for all of the ingredients we used).

We also placed a bowl of mixed nuts on the table for a more casual feel. This was my first time making my own Charcuterie Board but let me tell you, it was so good!

Gatherings and traditions are just a couple of reasons that make this holiday season so special. Justin and I really enjoyed a couple of hours spent in good company, laughing together… and eating 😉

We placed this bench here this winter season and placed this faux Sheepskin rug on top for added comfort and love how cozy it makes the space feel.

Knowing that J. Lohr Wines is so deeply rooted in family traditions and values is one reason why we love supporting them. Reading about their story and legacy is truly inspiring.

Not kidding, I was surprised with how much we all enjoyed the charcuterie board… see below for all of the ingredients and a quick video how we layered it!

Charcuterie Board Ingredients
  • The Drunken Goat MITICA- soft goat cheese bathed in red wine
  • Black Pepper BellaVitano – our new favorite cheese which is a mix of Cheddar and Parmesan
  • Red Globe Grapes
  • Organic Blackberries
  • Brown Turkey Figs
  • Braswells Fig Preserve
  • Creminelli Prosciutto
  • French Baguette sliced and drizzled with Olive Oil and Balsamic Glaze and lightly broiled
  • Mixed Nuts
  • Organic Rosemary

We hope you all enjoy this holiday season with the ones that matter most! Let us know if you end up making and trying this Charcuterie Board!
