Sharing a simple fall styled look today featuring our coffee table… we haven’t officially shared the reveal of our coffee table, but for those of you that don’t know, this was a regular size vintage pine table that we cut the legs down to make into a coffee table. The warm tone of the wood is my favorite (we applied this wax to it after sanding), and we love how much better the scale of this table fits with our new sofa, more on that soon 😉

Simple Coffee Table Styling
I like to style in odd groups, three is usually my go-to. You will see the main focal point is the highest point which is the vase filled with dried ferns on top of two books.
Next, I used a shorter stack of books placed in a different orientation from the other stack and topped with a seasonal candle and a vintage porcelain dish as my match holder.
For the third group, I decided to filled our vintage marble bowl with fall leaves which are a neutral tone and compliment the ferns. I also like how the color of the leaves blends nicely with the tone of the coffee table so it doesn’t really become a focal design point, more so just added texture.
Try focusing on the colors you are styling with this season and make sure they compliment each other nicely- on our coffee table you will see the tones in the ferns compliment the books and coasters.
As I mentioned in this post, nature really is the best resource when it comes to styling… if you feel stuck or if things start to feel too styled, take a walk outside and look around, sometimes a bowl full of pine cones, or foraged branches are really all you need!
Happy Styling friends!
