During our build process, it is important for us to share every step along the way… and part of this process is telling you a little bit about the history of our land and showing you around the property to give you a better idea at where our home will one day sit.
The photo above was taken from standing on the road- our home will sit just past some of those trees.
History : The Old Pasture
Our property sits in between Chelsi’s parent’s home and her late Grandparent’s home- there is about 10 acres total of family land. We have recently named our piece of land ‘The Old Pasture’ because of it’s history- My grandfather used the property as a pasture for cattle grazing for maintenance.
One of our favorite things about the property are these two Maple trees that sit on the bank of the pond. The trees are almost centered on the back of our land and they turn the prettiest color red in the fall and winter (Florida doesn’t get too many color changes during the seasons, so when these turn, it is extra special).
Above are the same Maple Trees but viewed from the other side of the pond. One day, this will be the view of the back of our home.
More views from across the pond. Here, you can see the small brick bridge that Chelsi’s Grandparents built- that bridge will one day be the driveway in to our garage.
Now, let’s head back to the other side where we are standing back on our property.
We are excited to look back one day and see how the views will change once this view is officially our back yard.
This group of Pine Trees will need to be taken down since our home will be sitting there. As soon as we get the plans finalized, we will be able to have land surveyors come out to mark the property so we will know exactly where our home will sit.
We can’t wait to compare these photos of us to one year from now. These boys are so excited to finally live beside their Grandparents!
We hope this property tour helps to tell a little bit of our story and shows you a piece of what is to come! If you have any questions for us, comment below and we will be happy to answer!
