Our ‘entryway’ or lack there of, opens right into our dining room and living room- this is the same place our Christmas tree was which you can see here. Since taking our tree down, we usually just keep a basket here for our shoes as we come and go but it wasn’t doing anything aesthetically for this space and I needed to think of something that better served our family (and looked better).
I decided an entry bench with storage was the perfect solution. We keep our shoes, dog leash, garden shears… in these baskets and it has been the best decision!

I love the functionality of this space now but also how simple the bench is and that it doesn’t compete with our dining room table or our living room furniture.
