A couple of weeks back we shared this post of vintage artwork we were currently loving and it got such a great response, we wanted to share another roundup of art we are currently loving- bonus, we curated the gallery below for inspiration! We are also are sharing the two pieces of art we are trying to decide on for our bedroom, and a little bit about why we love both!

TIPS : Curating artwork for a gallery wall can often times be intimidating. We suggest starting with 1-2 pieces that you love, those will become the foundation for the collection. Begin bringing in other pieces with similar tones, and create balance by mixing organic and geometric art and photographs or portrait art. You will notice in the gallery above, we made sure to equally place our portraits opposite of one another, our geometric art is placed apart creating visual balance and art pieces 1, 5, and 6 all carry a similar aesthetic so they are placed in a visual circle to create movement and cohesion around the gallery.
Here are the two art pieces we are trying to decide on… but first, here’s the thing with us and artwork- we either need to have a connection right away with the piece or it needs to hold some sort of sentiment. The two art pieces below were the top votes from our Instagram Story poll. We love the warm tones in Harper and how she blends well with our vintage mirror and brass tones in this space. However, Alaina, we were immediately drawn to and the name holds a sentimental meaning. I also think if we do decide to go with Alaina, we will place her on the right side of our dresser to balance out the dark tones.
