Sharing our layered coffee table styled for fall, today… I wanted to incorporate multiple stacks of the books that I love flipping through and included a roundup of inspiring coffee table books at the end of the post.
Get the Look
Start with a clean slate- clear off your coffee table, wipe it down, and begin to layer in your favorite books that are inspiring you during this season. The hopes are that by layering multiple books together, you will be encouraged to pick one up and flip through it at any time.
When layering your books, try to arrange them in a different orientation on the table- I like for the spines of the books to always face outwards.
Next, layer in your focal point which is usually the highest point on your coffee table. Here, I have chosen a found vase with fall branches.
Now, you can start to layer in practical pieces that also serve as decor- like coasters, matches, a bowl or tray to hold remotes…
Quick DIY– I turned this brass leaf object into a functioning match striker and holder by applying a match striker sticker to the bottom of the leaf and adding matches.
Lastly, layer in a seasonal candle to elevate your senses. I have been loving these fall candles lately (you can use code laineandlayne20 for 20% off)
