My parents are selling their home!

Long story short… My parents are selling their home and building another home on our family land!

Now, here’s the longer version… 😉

Remember when we announced we were going to build on our land back in 2019? Things sure have changed in the last two years… we finalized on our house plans at the end of 2019 and had every intention of selling our home and breaking ground on our new build the following year. 2020 came around and Justin and I just didn’t feel ready to sell our home and begin the entire build process, yet. Thankfully, timing is everything and as you all know, 2020 was quite the year, on top of becoming pregnant in March of 2020, and welcoming a baby girl that December! We decided to forgo our original house plans and redraw a new set of plans that best accommodates our now family of five! More on this soon!!

Backtrack to early 2020, my parents broke the news to us that they were going to sell their home and build their forever home… something a little bit smaller and more manageable. We all thought this home was their forever home, so this news totally caught us off guard at first. My parents designed and built this home when I was 12 years old, so this place is… home. It’s a special place for all of us, but we know this is the right move for my parents and we are so excited to see their new home come to life and make new memories with our kids! An old chapter has to end for a new one to begin.

Every time we would share their home on Instagram, our inbox would fill up with messages, so we wanted to share just a small preview of their home, a few details, and share the announcement with you all first!
