If you missed our announcement on Instagram, we welcomed our baby girl, August, into the world on December 5th! Her birth was suppose to be a planned cesarean, but she had plans of her own and decided to come a few days early- just hours after Justin and I had finished styling our living room in preparation to photograph it the next day. Needless to say, we didn’t get the chance to share our living room before her arrival, so we are sharing it with you now.

This year we added a lot of natural elements and DIY projects into our living space. The garland is a mixture of fresh Cedar, Pine, and Olive Branches. On our tree we added DIY pine cone ornaments, and clay snowflake ornaments along with a lot of warm wood tones.
Just before the holidays, we updated our mantel with a reclaimed wood beam we found at one of our favorite salvage yards, and added this wooden circular mirror. More photos coming of this area soon!
The white linen stockings we hung together and added a dusty blue velvet ribbon to them and DIY air-dry clay name tags. Check our Instagram Reels for a quick 30 sec video of how we made them.
We carried the mixed greenery over onto our coffee table and media console, along with other natural elements like this vintage antler and pine cones to create a cozy, natural, winter vibe.
As always, we kept things simple and really enjoyed this room this holiday season, but we are definitely looking forward to starting fresh in the new year!
Merry Christmas, friends! See you all back here soon!
very beautiful!!!!!!! also the candle caught my eye!
Thank you!! That was actually a quick DIY we created with some scrap leather that we wrapped around one of our favorite candles from Lightwell Co. 🙂
Hellos! I am enjoying your blog so much! As it turns out I just received the same coffee table as you! Did you happen to stain yours? Mine is very light and I am considering staining it. If you did, was it an easy process? Did you have to sand it first? I have been debating if it has any finish on it upon arrival? Thank you!
Hi! I did not stain it, and found it like this! I would recommend applying a wax vs staining! If you would like it darker, try Fiddes & Son’s Rugger Brown wax!
