Thanksgiving Dinner Tablescape

Design — October 23, 2023

I love creating tablescapes… and Justin and I both love to photograph them. After, last year’s Thanksgiving Harvest Table, I knew I wanted to create a foraged arrangement for the centerpiece to sit alongside these beautiful taper candles. Below I am sharing my stress-free formula for setting a beautiful and enjoyable table.

Get the Look

The true showstopper of this space is our new oval dining table! Don’t worry, we didn’t get rid of our old farm tablewe plan on using that as our working island in our new home… but we love how the shape of this oval table allows the room to flow better… the wood tone is also beautiful and adds the perfect contrast to the linen curtains and Heirloom Dinnerware.

Speaking of Heirloom Dinnerware… this set is truly a dream… it has so many matching pieces like plates, bowls, cups, serving dishes, pitcher, a tureen… everything you need to set the perfect table for your guests.

Stress-Free Formula for Setting the Perfect Table

01 Stoneware Dinnerware – This beautiful creamy stoneware adds the elegance to any table setting.

02 Rustic Flatware – I love to focus on juxtaposition when creating a tablescape… I don’t want things to feel too formal, I want my guests to still feel relaxed and comfortable so using this tumbled stainless steel flatware is the perfect balance of beautiful and casual.

03 Linens – Bringing in a little bit of pattern with linens whether it be napkins or a tablecloth adds the right amount of interest and brings some color to your tabletop.

04 Serveware – Matching serveware is the perfect way to ensure everything feels cohesive. I love how diverse this collection is… so many different pieces in different shapes and sizes to fit your hosting needs!

05 Candlelight – Candlelight is the best way to create a warm and inviting setting… I love using natural beeswax taper candles on our table so no scents are competing with what is being served. The twist shape of these tapers pair so beautifully with these glass taper holders.

06 Something Foraged – For this centerpiece I foraged various branches, flowers and stems from our yard, side of the road and property… I love how organic it is and the fall tones it adds to the table.

07 Glassware – Etched glassware is an easy way to add beauty and interest… I love how well these pair with the heirloom dinnerware. The floral motif adds an elegant feeling while still being a casual drinking glass.

08 Something Vintage – I wanted to add an unexpected element to this year’s table setting and found these antique tea cups handmade in England and thought the floral pattern on them would be the perfect finishing touch. I love how well the creams and browns help to pull everything together.
