There are a handful of FAQ we receive daily via DM on Instagram, some of which usually have to do with sources for my makeup, and while I love answering you all there, I thought I would finally post a makeup routine roundup here where it can be easily accessed!
I try and keep things simple. I have sensitive skin- my skin either gets too oily, too dry, will break out easily, or even burn if I am not careful about the products I use. Actually, last year I had a reaction to an eye-bright eye liner where my eye started to burn and swelled pretty significantly… after a few Benedryl and a couple of days, it was back to normal but it was after that incident that I decided to stop wearing eye liner on my inner rims and to also try an all-natural mascara- which I found, and love!

Concealer – I started using this concealer a few months ago and have been really happy with it- it’s not too thick, and not too thin and it covers well. I use this under my eyes, on my eyelids, and on any dark spots or blemishes.
Powder Foundation – I have tried both liquid and powder foundations. In fact, until 2019, I never even wore foundation, but ya know, hitting 30 and all, I figured it was time to start wearing it 😉 I have been really happy with this one- it covers nicely and doesn’t cause any irritation or breakouts.
Blush – I use to use a matte liquid blush but decided to go back and try a powder with a hint of shimmer in it and really love it.
Brows – the only thing I will use on my brows… absolutely one of my must haves!
Eyeshadow – I use this light brown eyeshadow on my upper lid by my eyelashes in place of eyeliner.
Eyelash Curler – the most asked about question I receive is about my eyelashes and this curler is an important tool in achieving how I get my lashes to curl like they do.
Mascara – this all-natural Almond Oil Mascara has been a game changer for me. I love that it is natural and the almond oil helps to strengthen my lashes.
Finishing Powder – this step is optional, but I like to lightly dust this translucent setting powder over my cheeks, nose, forehead and chin if I am going to be away from home all day or going to dinner at night.
Mascara – I use this mascara on my bottom lashes. I find that this mascara doesn’t lengthen which is great since I would prefer my bottom lashes to not look like spider legs!
Highlighter – I like to use this at the very end for a little extra glow. I apply a crescent shape on my upper cheekbone.
Lip Liner – My lips get dry and tend to chap very easily so I have never been able to really wear traditional lipsticks and even chapstick clumps and dries out my lips, so I have found that most days I just use a clear gloss (Vaseline) but on days where I want a little bit of color on my lips, I use this lip liner by applying it on my bottom lip, blotting my lips together and then applying the Vaseline on top.
Clear Gloss – thanks to my best friend for recommending this, I am officially hooked and don’t leave the house without this. It is so helpful to help keep lips moist without buildup from waxy chapsticks or lipsticks.
