Cozy Cottage Spring Bedroom

February 16, 2026

Happy Monday, friends! Crazy to think that our last spring post was in our last home and now I am finally sharing our new bedroom with you. When we were building, I envisioned how I wanted this space to feel- light, comfortable, and cozy with a cottage aesthetic. In today’s post you will see how we highlighted our wooden windows with wooden furniture, brought the cottage aesthetic to life with a beadboard wrapped wood-burning fireplace, and layered linens for a light and comfortable feeling.

For spring, I like to soften the bedroom look by adding in florals and ruffles and layers of linen.

This Reversible Floral Quilt has the prettiest soft green color that adds pattern and dimension to the bed.

I broke up the florals by adding a solid layer in between with two ivory linen lumbar pillows

And layered this beautiful tapestry lumbar pillow for a little bit of pattern play while helping to pull in the colors from the artwork over the fireplace…

I kept the nightstand styling simple and practical and included my favorite faux stems right now in a beautiful unlacquered buttercup vase.

We have a door that leads out onto a small back patio which I absolutely love…

I layered the floral quilt with this Belgian Linen Ruffle Quilt– I love how the linen ruffle quilt is lightweight and perfect for this time of the year when the weather is beginning to warm up.

We still love and use these underbed storage baskets all of the time- they are so great for storing extra sheets and bedding…

The way the light fills this space early in the morning and how the sun sets leaving a warm glow in the evenings makes me love this room even more…

I love having two sources of light near the bed, the handmade vintage-inspired sconces and the pleated table lamps really help to bring that cottage aesthetic to life.

Just a little bit of advice- don’t let anyone tell you white is boring and safe… I love how this room feels light and fresh and how the light throughout the day reflects off of the white walls… I love how warm this room feels with the wood tones and patterns, textures, and colors… with the right layers, white can still be warm and cozy too.
