While everyone was most likely getting ready for Halloween Trick or Treating, I worked on a festive wreath for our front door (priorities). As the seasons change and the holidays are quickly approaching, there’s no better way to set the tone for your home than with a beautiful wreath on your front door. I challenged myself to use things I already had on hand and updated my favorite faux Cedar wreath by adding some foraged branches to the existing wreath…
Get the Look
This faux Cedar wreath is a great wreath to decorate with as in, here you can see how we styled it two years ago.
But, it is also a great wreath to use as your base if you want to add any additional elements to it like I did this year. I gathered some foraged Juniper branches with berries and some red branches from the yard, and laid them in 4 sections around the wreath and attached them using small brown zip ties. I then covered the zip ties with the existing faux branches on the wreath.
I wrapped the top center with some jute string and added these bells to the center.
I love how the berries and the small red leaves add some extra color to the wreath. The red leaves likely won’t last, so I will probably have to pull those out, but if you like the look, I would definitely recommend using a faux red branch for practical use.
And, if you would rather do something more simple, you can always opt for a fabric bow! We used a bow on our front door last year and I love how it looked!
Happy November, friends!
