Front Porch Reveal Part Two

May 25, 2021

I cannot believe our front porch is DONE! (just in time for hurricane season… insert cry laughing face)

In all seriousness though, this space now feels like us… we love sitting out here with our coffee in the mornings and at the end of the day as the sun dips behind the trees and dapples light onto the house. Last week we revealed Part One which is the other side of our porch and includes our front door area.

Not only did we (err Justin) lay the pavers over our concrete porch floor, we also painted our exterior, removed all of the vinyl railings, wrapped our columns in cedar, landscaped our beds, and painted our picket fence… let’s just say this project did not happen in a weekend. We worked hard for two months, including through our social media break and sickness, so to finally be finished just in time to enjoy the beginning of summer feels so great!

Here’s a couple B&As…

We kept the overall design pretty simple and we love how perfectly this furniture collection fits in this space… our porch is only about six feet deep, so this loveseat, coffee table, and lounge chair were just the right size to accommodate the smaller space.

I also love that the cushion covers are zipper enclosed, so they can be removed for easy washing! The cushions are very comfy as well, the seat has the right amount of firmness to it for longevity, and the fabric is soft… not like your typical stiff outdoor furniture fabric.

These pillows are also the perfect neutral textural outdoor pillow!

Here’s the view from the sidewalk…

One of the plants we planted in our landscape beds were Gardenia Buttons… Gardenias will always remind me of summertime here in Florida, so I felt it only fitting to clip some fresh Gardenia blooms for the coffee table.

And fresh cut lime in chilled water is always a good idea…

Here is one more Before & After…
