Natural Fall Inspired Console Table

Design — August 31, 2020

Ahhh, fall… our most anticipated season every single year, but this year, it seems we are looking forward to it more than ever. With September just one sleep away, we wanted to share our first fall content of the year with you all today- a natural fall-inspired console table, plus five tips to help you style your console table this fall!

Get The Look

This post is sponsored by Pottery Barn. All content and opinions are always our own. Thank you for allowing us to share the brands we love to support.

Tip 1 : Bring in moody vintage art

We love the juxtaposition of layering vintage and modern art together… and this vintage portrait brings in the perfect fall tones to any space. This large scale modern art piece we printed on 18×24 fine art paper and added two layers behind it of archival paper and newsprint paper for added dimension and then floated it inside this modern frame. We also tore the edges of the archival and newsprint papers by laying a straight edge down and ripping the edges for a softer look.

You can shop the artwork here and use code LAINEANDLAYNE for 20% off your order!

We absolutely love the warmer tones this console table brings in to our dining room and that black metal strip along the bottom support piece is our favorite design element.

Tip 2 : Add fall branches in a large sculptural vase

We have a Buckeye tree in our backyard that produces what we thought were chestnuts for the last seven years- haha! But, they are perfect placed inside of this large scaled vase. Unfortunately, here in Florida, our fall colors are sparse, but if you are fortunate enough to live in an area where the beautiful leaves start to turn, don’t be afraid to clip some of those to enjoy indoors for a couple of days.

quick tip : don’t ruin your vases or vessels by filling them with water. Instead, fill a glass vase or jar with some rocks and water to place down inside of your decorative vessel.

Here are some other options for fall-inspired branches or foliage that will bring the same warm feel to your space.

Tip 3 : Use found or vintage elements to add warmth

We placed this vintage antler on top a stack of books for added character.

Tip 4 : Seasonal scented candle

This modern wood candle is the perfect natural element that really brought a sense of calm… candles just make everything better 😉

Tip 5 : Add cozy layers

Don’t forget to layer your space with cozy textiles and throws like we did here with this natural linen throw.
