It’s REVEAL DAY! Ya’ll, yesterday was fun! It was our first one day makeover that we have attempted and we are so happy with how everything turned out and so thankful for good shooting weather, but man am I sore today! haha!

The beautiful bedding and throw pillows were what inspired this entire makeover- the soft layered textured bedding definitely needed a space that reflected all of the comfortable beauty!
Adding curtains to this room definitely makes it feel more finished. Yes, the curtains still need to be hemmed but we are loving the visual height they add to our 8ft ceilings. As we were getting ready for bed last night, Justin made the comment “this almost feels like a hotel room”, and he’s right, the curtains added so much to this space.
We added some color to the bed by layering this vintage inspired velvet pillow in front of this textured ivory pillow.
We added affordable artwork by BFF Printshop, and love the character they add over the bed.
This linen throw is perfect for summer and we love how the soft ivory color ties in with this beautiful textured rug by Loloi.
This DIY fabric headboard made the bed feel so much more finished- we shared the process in our stories, here. It was so simple, we used 1″ plywood that we cut to size and rounded the edges, then wrapped in a couple layers of batting and secured to the plywood with staples. Then we took an extra curtain panel and doubled that and wrapped that around the batting and stapled to the plywood. We hung the headboard on the wall by attaching 2 D-Rings on the backside of the headboard.
And since we always get asked about our bed- our bed and box springs are actually just sitting right on the floor and Justin took 4 pieces of wood and screwed them together around the boxsprings to hide it. Super simple and cost effective! (Our cockapoo has a nerve condition in his neck and cannot jump off of high spaces, so that is why we opted for this inexpensive low-profile bed option)
We purchased this lamp when it came out a couple of months ago and we love how substantial it is in this corner.
We brought this found vase in to go on the other nightstand to balance out the lamp. We filled the vase with freshly cut Olive branches from our yard and placed one of our favorite candles beside the vase. (tip- we placed a skinny Weck jar inside this vase filled with water so we did not have to fill the entire vase with water or worry about ruining the vase)
The texture of this cotton duvet is so beautiful and cozy.
We used the ivory soft cotton duvet on our bed with matching shams and then folded the natural gray cotton duvet at the foot of the bed for added layering.
So, what do you think? We would love to hear your thoughts! And of course if you have any questions, comment below and let us know!

Hi Liz! We shoot with the Canon 5D Mark III and the Sigma Art 24-70mm 2.8
Do you have more info on your T&G wall?
Hi Candi! We don’t, but we did install it ourselves over our drywall using pine tongue & groove, liquid nails, and a nail gun. We then filled the nail holes, caulked, primed it 2-3 times to ensure we were covering the knots good and then painted the same color as our trim color which is Valspar High Hide White.
This is perfect! Could you tell me what size prints and frames you used above the bed?
Hi Brooke! Thank you!! The print on the left is 16×20 and the frame we just linked under sources! The print on the right is 11×14 and the frame is vintage.
I love this!!! What size are the pictures above the bed and where did you get those frames?
