Spring Bedroom with Classic Blues & Neutrals

Design — February 10, 2024

If you saw yesterday’s post, you know we have been incorporating more blues into our home this year and love how calming and classic it makes the spaces feel.

Today, we are sharing our spring bedroom with you and how all of the layers came together!

Bedding Layers

Remember our spring bedroom last year? We featured this same Bette quilt but in a yellow and blue colorway- this year they released this new neutral colorway and it is so perfect! This quilt is 100% cotton and so soft! The perfect lightweight quilt as the weather starts to warm up!

I brought in blues with the vase, bed blanket and pillow… we also switched out the rug in here with this grey and ivory wool/jute rug to tie in the floral quilt!

This is the same rug we have in our closet but in a different colorway- it is so soft and has held up so well!

This underbed storage is a game changer! We use these to hold our other bedding and it is so nice utilizing functional storage under the bed instead of taking up space in our closet!

This waffle blanket is so incredibly soft and I love how the blue added in some color paired with the other neutral bedding!

I love that the Bette quilt is reversible- you can use either the lighter or darker side!

I know it might be an unpopular opinion, but I prefer layering quilts or comforters to duvet covers. When layering two quilts like I did here, I do a hospital fold with the first quilt as seen below and then the top quilt I like to loosely lay on top so it has a less formal/more casual feel to it.

Let’s chat nightstands…

Here is a simple formula I follow when styling my nightstand-

1. Table lamp that acts as art itself. I love how understated and classic this recycled glass lamp is with a tapered shade.

2. Stack of design books that you’re loving and have coordinating colors to your bedroom.

3. A handmade vase with florals (ours are faux & real mixed together!)

4. Coaster with a drinking glass for practicality, or your favorite candle.

Keep scale and height in mind when choosing your pieces to style and try focusing on odd groupings- here I essentially chose a group of 3 (the lamp, stack of books with florals, and the glass/candle)

So impressed with these faux florals– I mixed in a handful of real ranunculus and greenery but 90% of this arrangement is faux!

I also used these faux White Dogwood branches on the other nightstand and love how they look!

I am so happy with how this room came together and how calming it is. I hope you feel inspired to incorporate some color into your home this year!

So beautiful, you always give me inspiration. The floral quilt, what are the colors in it. I couldn’t find it at the store.
