Inspired by my Banana Bread recipe– I wanted to create a quicker dessert that doesn’t take one hour to make! This has become a favorite in our family and I hope you and your family will enjoy it too!


Banana Bread Cake
A twist on a classic banana loaf- a moist and sweet cake your entire family will love!
Ingredients
- 3 Ripe Bananas
- 1/2 c Unsalted Melted Butter 1 stick
- 1/2 c Sugar
- 1/2 c Dark Brown Sugar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 tbsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/2 c Sour Cream
- 1 3/4 c All-Purpose Flour
- 1 1/2 tsp Baking Soda
- 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Cinnamon
- 1/2 c Crushed Walnuts or Pecans + 1 tbsp Brown Sugar for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350º
- Melt Butter and cream together sugars and butter until light and fluffy
- Add in smashed bananas, 2 eggs, vanilla extract and sour cream. Whisk to combine
- In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, and cinnamon
- Pour dry ingredients into wet, stir with a wooden spoon until just combined- Do not over mix
- Prepare a 9×9 square pan and pour in batter
- Sprinkle the top with crushed nuts and brown sugar
- Bake for 30-33 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean
- Let cool 10 minutes before slicing
- Top with butter and enjoy!
