How is Christmas already two sleeps away?! Festivities start tomorrow morning for us, which is crazy to think about! If you are in a pinch for a simple but thoughtful gift, consider a baked banana bread loaf, linen tea towel and wooden bread board!
I have baked A LOT of banana bread loaves over the last couple of years and this one just might be my best one yet! My Granny use to always make banana bread around the holidays and it was always my favorite… she passed just before Christmas in 2020 and unfortunately, none of us have her recipe since she never wrote it down. I like to think by baking and enjoying a banana bread loaf with my family around Christmas is a way of carrying on her tradition and memory… even as simple as it may be.
Maybe you are all set on gifts and just want to bake something different this Christmas season… below, I am sharing my recipe! I hope you (or whoever) enjoys this recipe and it warms your hearts and bellies this holiday season.
Merry Christmas, my friends!
