Since we revealed our front porch earlier this spring, I have been anxiously awaiting the holiday season to hang garland across the front porch, to place trees, lights, and candlelight all front and center, and to create a cozy sitting area for our family to enjoy and watch as the sun fades behinds the trees and the temperatures begin to drop… and here we are! I am so excited to reveal this holiday front porch inspiration with you today!

“but try it in a red. Like a happy red, not like a Scorsese red.” A line from my favorite movie of all time, The Holiday, is all that came to mind when we were creating this holiday look! It’s a bit more bold than our normal neutral inspired looks (don’t worry, we have another look coming soon) but, I love the cheer that the pop of red brings this time of year and while it doesn’t quite match indoors, our white exterior was the perfect backdrop!
These twinkling twig trees are so beautiful… the kids get so happy when we plug them in as the sun begins to set… they are the perfect amount of twinkle and I wish I could capture the magic they bring to this space!
We opted to make this door swag this year instead of a wreath and it took about ten minutes from start to finish! We used 2 bundles of fresh cedar that we bundled together with floral wire, wrapped in thick jute rope, hung on a nail, and finished with thin velvet ribbon tied into a bow.
We chose festive pillows, candlelight, and a cozy fireside throw to complete this sitting area. Seriously, if you’re looking for THE coziest throw, grab this sherpa one! (it’s on sale for only $29)
I hope you all are enjoying the start of this new season and embracing all of the joy that it brings! Regardless of how stressful this time of the year can seem for many, our hope is that you will find some time to deck the halls surrounded by the people that mean the most to you.
