Hosting season is officially here! Today, I am sharing two tablescape looks- the first is for a Fall Dinner and the second is for a Thanksgiving Table.
Below, I am sharing simple ways to transition your fall table for Thanksgiving, our simple Thanksgiving menu, a graphic to save to help you set your table, our autumn playlist, and all of the sources at the bottom of the post!
Fall Tablescape

For the first tablescape look, I kept the linens casual and only set 3 utensils for a simple dinner.
I love these Toffee colored napkins, and how pretty is the vintage flatware?
I love having a spread of fruits and cheese in the center of the table for casual dinners, this way our guests can snack while I finish preparing dinner…
I tend to always serve fresh bread with dinner, and for this fall dinner, I made a fall-inspired whipped butter to spread on the bread, which was so good! For Thanksgiving, I am planning on making this again and serving with homemade southern biscuits! Creamy Whipped Fall Butter recipe here!
Use an extra linen napkin to wrap your bread in and serve in a pretty footed bowl to add some height to your table. This bowl would also be perfect to serve any side dish in or to fill with florals as a centerpiece.
Candlelight is always a must no matter the occasion to create a warm and inviting setting!
For both tablescape looks, I used the same centerpiece- faux branches in a basket vase. Foraging and using real branches is always recommended but if you live in an area like us, there aren’t too many fall branches this time of year and these are such a beautiful and practical alternative!
Here are a couple of tips when styling faux branches- mix two different branches together to make the arrangement look more realistic, use bolt and wire cutters to cut the stems shorter so you can arrange them more organically, and use a floral frog in the bottom of your vase or basket so the branches stay in place.
I love the muted colors of these branches and how well they pair with the linens. For this centerpiece look I used these green turning Oak branches and these Oak branches with acorns.
