The Summer Edit : Summer Shop, Summer Playlist, and Summer Front Porch

Design, Lifestyle — June 23, 2022

Summer… can you believe July is almost here? Before we know it, we will be welcoming cooler temps, but for now we are enjoying the longer days, immense Florida sunshine, thunderstorms, warm evenings, and lasting memories.

Today, we are introducing one of five new series that will be rolling out consistently over the next couple of weeks (more on that soon!)… The Summer Edit – which includes our new summer shop full of items we are loving, a summer playlist of what we are currently listening to, and our summer front porch reveal!

We finally cleaned off our front porch for the warmer season- pressure washed the house, cleaned the windows, 30-second sprayed the pavers, washed the cushion covers, mixed some old and new planters and planted new plants!

Here’s how it turned out…

Our patio furniture is currently on sale! We couldn’t recommend this set enough and we love that we can take the cushion covers off and wash them making them look brand new each season!

What we planted, from left to right – Plumbago, Snowbush, Olive Trees with English Ivy, Morning Glory, and Dusty Miller.

Quick Tip – If you ever want to know what a plant is, download the app PictureThis and you can upload a photo of a plant (or take a photo) and it will scan the photo and tell you what the plant is. It is so helpful, we use this all the time!

I love using Spanish Moss from our yard to make our planters looked finished. Not only does it help the soil hold in moisture, it adds texture and makes the plants look better just by adding in this extra layer.

I really love how this trio of planters turned out and how everything looks in front of our white exterior and with our pavers!
